There is this commercial out right now that says 'People are smart' (it's for an online lender) sorry, but people are sheep and sheep are stupid. Sheep would rather follow then think for themselves. Get one celebrity to endorse something, the people follow.
Now there are some people that do think for themselves, (thank God for that) and for these people having both sides to an argument opens the door for educated conversations rather then propaganda.
Elections are coming up, so that means propaganda galore out there on the TV and radios and everywhere else. There is no place where you are safe from it. So rather then buying into what the media has to say, educate yourself!! Don't just listen to the TV get up off your ass and study the candidates. Learn the truth about the issues (like global warming), don't just listen to the bullshit that's out there (man has a big ego)! If you really know what they're talking about, you'll realize how many of the candidates are talking out their asses, and don't know shit.
The great thing about the United States' government is that we, as citizens, get a say. But that can also be a really bad thing about our government. People in general are stupid, so get enough of them convinced that we are going to destroy the earth because of global warming, well they'll vote for someone that says that they can stop it (as if it could be stopped.)
Okay, I'm off my soap box now, just remember the more you know the smarter you vote.
